About Us
Hook Driven Music evolved out of the songwriting team efforts of Betsy Milcarek (pen name Beth Walker) and Rich Howland. Working with many fellow songwriters, musicians, talented teens and their families, we realized that there was a lot of misunderstanding and some not-so-crediblle information circulating about how the music industry actually works and all the constant changes taking place.
We decided to launch our series of music industry education workshops to help fill some of this gap – and hopefully help others to realize where they are in their journey into their musical careers and where to better focus their resources moving forward. We do our best to bring in music industry professionals with straight talk and honest perspective from where they stand.
Our successful TEEN MUSIC ON TRACK program is now in its 3rd year of working with some very talented teens to help them focus on their next steps into their musical careers. TEEN MUSIC ON TRACK has already sparked opportunities for a number of our participants and has proven to be a great industry/peer networking channel for all young songwriters, artists and musicians who attend.
